Ogun State Government has taken the mass vaccination campaign to parks and garages across the State as part of efforts to ensure the State attain its 70 percent target and achieve herd immunity against the Covid19 pandemic.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker while addressing traders at Sayedero Market in Ilaro explained that the campaign was aimed at ensuring that no eligible residents was left out of the Vaccination exercise and fight against the virus

Dr Coker who expressed satisfaction at the turnout of people urged them to encourage their friends and families who were yet to get vaccinated to seize the opportunity, adding that the campaign would be replicated in other Local Government Areas.

Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr Tayo Lawal reiterated that government remained committed to ensuring unhindered commercial and trading activities, saying it had made the wellbeing and safety of all priority on its agenda.

In their separate contributions, Representative, APIN Public Health Initiative, Mr. Michael Ohue and Medical Officer of Health, Yewa South Local Government, Dr. Taiwo Adebowale advised residents to continue to adhere to the non pharmacological safety measure of wearing nose masks, hand washing and social distancing, stressing that it would not only prevent Covid19 infection but also keep other diseases away from the society.

On her part, Iyaloja, Sayedero Market, Ilaro, Madam Risikat Ajayi appreciated the State Government for taking a proactive steps towards ensuring that residents were safe and protected from the Covid19 pandemic during and after their business activities.

There should have been social distancing in that market and everyone would have been wearing face mask because of how dangerous Covid 19 is.

Because people are dying in droves in that market due to Covid 19.

The only disease that the media keeps reminding you that you have it.
