The Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Sunday Elom has said the priority of his administration in 2022 is on the Faculty of law.

The Vice-Chancellor dropped the hint yesterday while addressing staff of the faculty who paid him a courtesy visit to intimate him on their preparation for the intending visit of the Council for Legal Education to the University for the purpose of accrediting the Law programme.

“Full attention will be given to the faculty of law after the accreditation exercise of the engineering programmes by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)”, he stated.



Earlier in his opening remarks, the Acting Dean, Faculty of law, Dr. Onyekachi Eni said the purpose of their visit was to express their satisfaction on the progress made by the university under the stewardship of the Vice-Chancellor in the last one year and to brief him on the state of affairs in their faculty.

He noted that the University is lucky to have a leader like the Vice-Chancellor, who is filled with great wisdom and experience, adding that under his belt the university has made both tangible and intangible progress.



Dr. Eni further used the opportunity to appeal for the full support of the University Management in the run-up to the visit of the Council for Legal Education, who is billed to visit the University in the nearest future for the purpose of accrediting the Law programme.
