MORE SCANDALS ERUPT IN TINUBU CAMPAIGN GROUP
-DG Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin accused of embezzling 2.5billion for support groups logistics

Just before the dust settles down over issues of internal power tussle and allegations of financial rackets, another scandal has erupted in the Tinubu campaign groups. Amidst internal power tussle, more allegations of embezzlement of money meant to fund activities of Tinubu Support Groups has emerged. Several leaked memos and petitions gave credence to the internal power play and financial scandals. A source who preferred to be anonymous said if these multiple crisis are not addressed urgently it can derail the entire campaign.

The source revealed that there are thousands of Tinubu Support groups working for the actualisation of Tinubu presidency independently since 2019 and many people have made so much sacrifice. The strongest group is notably SWAGA but suddenly TSG emerged. TSG is promoted by Hon Faleke. While SWAGA has operated with funding from members pockets, TSG in being funded from special donations. Millions of naira donated to TSG by several state Governors during the launch of the group has not been accounted for by Hon Faleke. What happened next was the attempt by TSG to hijack the entire activities of Tinubu Support Groups which was resisted.

The groups also accused Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin who they claim took a proposal to Asiwaju to bring all the support groups under one umbrella for selfish reason which Asiwaju approved and on recommendation of Speaker Gbajabiamila and Governor Ganduje made him Hon Jibrin Director General of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Groups Management Council SGMC. Despite resistance by many stake holders, Asiwaju and the Speaker insisted on Jibrin. Since then the management of Tinubu Support Group was handed to just one man who has refused to carry everyone along.

In one of the leaked petition by a group of concern members of Tinubu support groups, they accused Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin of refusing to release money meant for logistics of support groups across the country to rent offices, buy vehicles and hold town halls to the tune of 2.5billion naira contributed by business associates of Tinubu. He only just said to us at a meeting that 2.5billion was giving to him. We asked him to lay out the details, he refused, the source added. So far only 20 cars have been delivered to 10 states which Jibrin bought directly with donation from some Governors. Also problematic is the DG's unilateral decision to organise Zonal conferences alone. Members were only notified of the programmes after all arrangements were made. He has also refused to release names of members and executives of the management council.

Also during the last support groups conference in Abuja, 750million naira was raised by the Speaker and Governor of Kano state and handed to the DG. Members of the organising committee have raised alarm that only 100million naira has been accounted for by the DG.
A meeting was said to have been called by Sen Abu Ibrahim to address the issues but the source informed us that Hon Jibrin shun the meeting sending text message that he is only answerable to Tinubu. The concern members accused the Speaker and Asiwaju of unduly protecting Hon Jibrin and giving him so much powers that may not augur well in the long run. We might decide to leave them with only Jibrin if they fail to listen to us, he said. They are demanding that Jibrin account for the huge money he has collected and Asiwaju should call him to order. It is expected that this matter will be on the priority list of Asiwaju when he returns to the country
