Who has your team signed? Who has left your team in the January Transfer window?

Whilst the summer window is the perfect time for clubs to revamp and beef up their squad, the January transfer window presents an opportunity for teams to address issues their team might be facing in terms of performance through the recruitment of new players.

Philippe Coutinho & Lucas Digne – (Aston Villa)

Following Digne’s fallout with Everton’s former gaffer Rafael Benitez, he told the club he wanted to leave Goodison Park with his contract still remaining three and a half years.

With Villa in need of a proven left-back, they went for the Frenchman who is not ready to continue playing for Everton and they eventually signed him for a whopping £25m.



Whilst for the Brazilian Coutinho, his time at Barcelona was further looking more like a waste of time having joined the Blaugrana from Liverpool in 2019.



Thankfully, his former captain and now the coach of Aston Villa showed interest and trust in him and decided to bring him on loan to England.

Kieran Trippier & Bruno Guimaraes – (Newcastle United)

Trippier has been a regular starter for Los Rojiblancos since his arrival in 2019, but things went south for the England international after an injury-ravaged year for him, and lost his place in Diego Simeone’s team.

With the Magpies looking to revamp and stock their team they went out strong for the right-back having seen him as the perfect option for the position, and they coughed out £15m to bring him back to England from Atletico Madrid.



Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has been on Newcastle’s radar for a while, but finally, they’ve been able to complete the signing of their man.



Though the signing is yet to be announced officially, with reports from both camp it is gathered that Newcastle paid Lyon a fee worth €40 plus €8m add-ons.

Ferran Torres – (Barcelona)

Following Barcelona’s appointment of Xavi Hernandez, it was evident that they’re in need of top players that will help them keep up to pace with the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

With that in mind, they signed Manchester City’s forward Ferran Torres on a five-year contract worth around €55m plus add-on.

Since the Spaniard sustained an injury that halted his momentum he’s not been featuring consistently for City, as such Xavi targeted him as the ideal replacement for Sergio Aguero who retired prematurely due to a health issues.

Anthony Martial – (Sevilla)

Following Martial making it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford to secure regular playing time elsewhere, the name of Spanish side Sevilla popped up as the favorite team to sign him on loan.

The 26-year-old arrived in Seville on Tuesday and underwent his medical before signing his contract, which will see him play for Lopetegui’s side until June.



Sevilla signed him on loan and all they will have to do is to pay part of his wages until June when his loan deal will expire before they would now consider signing him permanently if he impressed the board.

Daniel Wass – (Atletico Madrid)

Daniel Wass is the newly recruited player by Los Rojiblancos following the departure of Kieran Trippier who left for Newcastle for £15m.

The Denmark international signed a contract with Atletico Madrid until 2023 having joined from league rival Valencia, and he will be used primarily on the right of the defense providing depth beyond what Vrsaljko brings to the table.

The deal is reported to be worth €2.7m plus add-on following a week of negotiations, with Wass out of contract at Valencia in the summer.

Dusan Vlahovic – (Juventus)

Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic has been prolific in front of goal in Serie A this season and has been one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.

With his contract set to expire in 2023, it makes business sense for Fiorentina to offload the prolific Serbian for a lucrative fee in the transfer market.



According to the report, Vlahovic is said to be undergoing his medical in Torino as the Old Lady set to complete
