Our Client is an indigenous cosmetics manufacturer of repute, over 40 years old and a significant player in the Nigerian and West African beauty/personal care markets. Her products are truly world-class creams, lotions, perfumes and has over 300 products and still counting. The company is desirous of strengthening its operations by improving efficiency, creating an avenue for injection of fresh ideas as well as activating a plant management succession plan. In view of this and the need to position itself for the next level, it wishes to recruit the following production personnel:

1. Plant Manager
2. Production Manager
3. Packaging Manager
4. Maintenance Engineer Technician (Mechanical)
Below are the details of the roles and requirements for these positions:

1. PLANT MANAGER
• He will be responsible for managing all manufacturing and production process, resources and people , except Quality Control and Quality Assurance
• Reports to Factory Manager, for whom he may deputize if it becomes necessary
• Engineering, packaging, production/manufacturing, procurement will report to him directly
• Requirements:
1. HND/BSc (Chemistry, Microbiology, Operations, Chemical Engineering). MBA a definite advantage
2. Mix of structured/unstructured manufacturing experience and environment
3. Excellent understanding of GMP as it pertains to cosmetics manufacturing and
man-management skills and resources optimization
4. Overall 10-15 years in cosmetics/personal care manufacturing/production.
5. The last 3-5 years must be in the same or a similar role, overseeing cosmetics manufacturing operations ( production, engineering, packaging, quality control/assurance) and managing up to 100 people
6. Management, leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skills are important attributes
7. Demonstrable business acumen
• Compensation: the range is competitive and above average for the role

2. PRODUCTION MANAGER:
• His major role is to efficiently turn raw materials to high-quality manufactured products ready for packaging with skillful mix of man, material and time
• Reports to Plant Manager
• Will be supervising about 10 people
• Requirements:
o HND/BSc in relevant discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetology, etc.
o Strong 5-6 year’ experience, 2 must be in a similar role in medium-sized cosmetics manufacturing firm
o Above-average understanding of GMP and familiarity with various cosmeticss production techniques and processes
o Excellent supervisory skills and attention to details
o Quality assurance experience will be an advantage

3. PACKAGING MATERIAL MANAGER
• Key responsibilities for this role include managing all packaging activities, packaging-floor hands and coordinating all lines and activities
• Reports to Plant Manager
• Supervising all packaging staff in a virtually manual-operation environment
• Ensure packaging quality assurance into operations and process
• Packaging material planning and scheduling
• Requirements:
1. HND or equivalent
2. Not less than 7 years overall packaging experience in a semi-
automated/manual environment, 2 as head of packaging unit
3. Attention to details and high quality conscious
4. Supervisory and leadership skills
• Compensation for this role greatly competitive

4. ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN -MECHANICAL
• Reports to Engineering Supervisor
• Carry out minor mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Schedule and monitor regular mechanical maintenance
• Supervise third-party engineering service providers
• Requirements:
1. OND/Trade-Test qualification
2. 3-5 years manufacturing engineering experience
3. Familiar with filling and mixing machines and vessels
