The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released its 2023 general election timetable. The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this during the Commission’s meeting with political parties in Abuja. The INEC calendar consists of 2023 political activities including presidential and gubernatorial elections.
According to the Calendar, in FEBRUARY 2023, the presidential election will officially be conducted.

2. Intensive consultation February 1st - 28h, 2022

3. INEC gives guideline for aspirants, candidates, parties in
respect of congress, primary election and campaign March, 2022

4. Campaign for Presidential and Gubernatorial elections April, 2022

5. Party Congresses May, 2022

6. Party Primary Elections June, 2022

7. Petitions on Primary elections July, 2022

8. Court of Appeal hearing on Primary elections conducted August, 2022

9. Supreme Court verdict on all Primary elections. Candidates & winners for Presidential & Gubernatorial flag bearer of Parties contesting September, 2022

10. Aggressive campaign by candidates/Parties across the
federation October, 2022

11. Campaign continues November, 2022

12. Peace Accord signed by all presidential and Gubernatorial candidates December, 2022

13. Presidential and National Assembly elections February,2023

14. Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections March, 2023
