UMEH SHOULD STEP INTO THE BIG STAGE AND ALLOW YOUNG PEOPLE THEIR BREATH.

We must all come together in unison and scold Senator Victor Umeh to allow young people take opportunities and express themselves in the polity and leadership of this Nation.

He has played his role at the legislative chambers when he had the opportunity, the time now is to either go forward or proceed to retirement.

APGA ticket or the Anambra Central Senatorial Seat is not his birth right, albeit he will never get close to the hallowed Chambers as member “emphasis on NEVER” except on a visit or errand, but as elected member, it will all end up a mere hallucinations for the long Red cap Chief from Aguluzigbo.

Umeh cannot be putting foots forward at every election to retire the APGA ticket for Anambra Central Senatorial zone with the claims that it’s his birth right as an acclaimed founding member of APGA and would shortchange potentials.

Umeh was never a founding member of APGA as often claimed, but a smart conman who had benefitted stupidly as a result of his criminal political apprenticeship while in the PDP which he unleashed on the innocent Igbo Progressives who foresaw tomorrow and would come together to form a notable political group for the South Easterners but their dreams were short lived due to greed of characters like Umeh and few others.

Umeh joined APGA like every other members but was clever enough to always bring with him dangerous weapons at every pillow fight within APGA hierarchy which saw him become a National Chairman in an organization he was merely considered a verbal acting Treasurer.

Umeh for the years he imposed himself as the APGA National Chairman used the party as bait to enrich himself and amass so much wealth which lifted him to become a Billionaire from his previous class of average political hustler and errand land agent disguised as estate surveyor.

Since the likely interest of young chaps like Uzuegbunam Okagbue and Rep. Chidozie Nwankwo for the APGA ticket for Anambra Central Senatorial zone ahead of 2023 election; Victor Umeh and his numerous hallelujah boys who he refused to improve their life Standard have taken to the media to recite the banal poem of why they need to send Umeh to the Senate and such would warrant that the party would allow the Aguluzigbo man fly the APGA flag without primaries.

Umeh had tested his popularity at the poll twice and failed in both; thanks to the Apex court who allowed him have a feel of the hallowed chambers in couple of months in his first attempt before his resounding defeat during his second “try your luck”. In as much as I know that APGA would still lose to the two National Parties and most likely to Senator Uche Ekwunife come 2023, Umeh should allow young Uzuegbunam and Dozie their breath.

The attack from the supporters of Senator Victor Umeh on the duo who are most likely to declare interest to contest the APGA ticket for Anambra Senatorial District is silly and should be responded to with equal madness.

Those cheering him up and would gather to massage his ego as the voice of ndi Igbo are mentally troubled and must be told in plain language that Umeh is part of the problem with Nigeria.

Umeh would always decorate himself as the man who took over the saddle and Dim Ojukwu place in APGA as bequeathed to him by the Ezeigbo himself; methinks he should be bold enough to take bold decision like Ezeigbo Gburugburu.

In 2003, Dim Chukwuemeka dared and announced himself the true Ezeigbo in Democratic dispensation for the many who may not have witnessed the 1967 civil war; he stepped up after the formation of APGA in 2002 and contested for the President of Nigeria on the platform of a virgin political party just to announce the arrival of the first capable alternative to PDP. He may not have won the 2003 General election, but left a message and a mark which later helped the APGA party grapple the Anambra seat of power in 2006. Ojukwu did not return to still contest the Senatorial election which he lost under NPN in 1983, instead stepped into the big stage.

The Aguluzigbo born Chief and Catholic Knight who would excitedly taunt himself the Voice of ndi Igbo and Ojukwu successor in APGA has refused to help realize the dreams of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu for an Igbo man to become the President of Nigeria since every other parties had refused to allow the Igbos their party flag since the return of Democracy in 1999.

Umeh must not shy away from responsibilities; he should also learn match his words with actions. He is ripe, not for Senate, but the President of Nigeria just like Ojukwu did in 2003.

If the acclaimed successor of Odumegwu Ojukwu has lowered himself to a mere pawn, he should equally drop off the toga of Igbo leader and voice and join the young chaps in the struggle for APGA ticket.
