Traveling abroad is one of the major goals on 85% of Nigerians’ bucket lists.
.
.
.
The major question is where to travel to and how to go about it.
.
.
.
In today’s article, certified and recognized Travel Consultant; John Uduma, will be exposing you to an unknown secret over 300+ Nigerians have used today to get themselves to Turkey and many other “Abroad” Countries.
.
.
.
Why do we choose to talk about Turkey today?
.
.
.
Simply because Nigerians like to travel to Turkey.
.
.
.
.
Turkey is one of the finest and most developed countries in the world with so many beautiful beaches, hotels, medical facilities, tourist attractions, historical artifacts, and especially for the business minded Nigerians, so many business opportunities.
.
.
.
In every 100 Nigerians who travel to Turkey, 85 are on a mission to build business relationships due to Turkey’s strategic location between Europe and Asia, young and well-educated workforce and entrepreneurs, and business-friendly terrain.
.
.
.
According to research “The volume of the foreign investments in Turkey increased 8.5 times in the last ten years compared to the entire ’80 decade and the country has become an emerging market such as Brazil, Russia, India and China – the BRIC countries.”
.
.
.
The major challenge faced by Nigerians who seek greener pastures there is the challenge of getting a visa.
.
.
.
Before the Covid-19 issues and travel restrictions, Nigerians didn’t really pay much attention to Turkish trips but due to the restrictions placed on countries like Canada, China, UAE and other popular destinations for Nigerians, Turkey became a major option.
.
.
.
.
Sadly enough, One of the big issues with the Turkish embassy is their disdain for the Nigerian currency and insistence on payment with the United States Dollars only. While some other embassies do also collect visa fees in dollars, they also collect the local currencies (Naira). The Embassy also insists on some specific years the dollar should not go beyond.
.
.
.
75% of Nigerians end up not having access to the visa due to these issues.
.
.
.
As expected from Nigerians, they’ve devised a means to access Turkey without having to go through the embassy in Nigeria.
.
.
.
They simply apply for Study packages in Neighboring countries like Nicosia in North Cyprus or Cyprus International University.
.
.
.
This process would easily help you get a permission to fly, then you’ll be given a visa on arrival once you get to Istanbul, Turkey.
.
.
.
With this, you can easily access Turkey from Cyprus using a simple Transit Visa whenever you wish to access Turkey in search of opportunities.
.
.
.
I hope this article was helpful
.
.
.
Till we talk again, stay productive.
