Meta has taken step after the recent Metaverse gang rape scenario that occurs in the Horizon Worlds. A lady whose name is Nina Jane Patel has taken to his medium page about his Metaverse gang rape experience in Facebook/Meta’s Venues. She said, in 60 seconds of joining the venue, she was verbally and sexually harassed; 3–4 male avatars, with male voices, essentially, but virtually gang raped her avatar and took photos. She said, as she tried to get away they yelled — “don’t pretend you didn’t love it” and “go rub yourself off to the photo”. The Meta has announced Personal Boundary for Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues. Which will prevent avatars from coming within a set distance of each other, creating more personal space for people and making it easier to avoid unwanted interactions.
