Hi!

I think I may be graduating with a third, and I need some advice. I studied Law in the UK and I'm wondering . . . will any employers in Nigeria accept me with a third class degree even though i studied aborad?
I'm trying to decide what my options are ; whether to go and redo my degree or try to get a job.
And before anyone says I wasnt concentrating hard enough on my studies, somethings happened that were out of my control and really affected me throughout my second and third year.
I appreciate any constructive replies in advance.

As a lawyer i would say it is very possible, you could even get a job with some of the best because even though its a third class its a UK degree and it counts for something. It however depends on your law school grade, make sure you do your best to get a 2.1 in law sch. You should also pursue professional qualifications such as Ciarb or Icsa and try to get as much relevant internship experience in the Uk as you can. Goodluck!

That is assuming you intend to practice as a lawyer. If you don't decide what other field you are interested in for eg HR and get relevant work experience/certification before returning to Nigeria if you can. In my opinion, experience beats further studies any day esp if your first degree was outside Nigeria
