That is why job creation and poverty alleviation are the First things.

If you cant do those well, then you are just wasting time.

This is why Nigeria can never be good NEVER we are always quick to blame the government for our problems, whereas we are our own problem.
How can people vandalize what will benefit them on the long run, I really fear for our children and the future if we are behaving like this, and we want Nigeria to be as good as Dubai. We really deserve the leaders that are ruling us.
Are the leaders not from the people?
Re: Vandals Damage Lagos-Ibadan Railway Track, Trains Forced To Stop In Bush by sulaak(m): 3:49pm On Feb 12, 2022
You think the railway will benefit the man that cannot afford to use the railway.

A serious government should have invested in education and healthcare first and not all these vanity projects that the man on the street cannot afford to use.

Fix the road, educate the people, provide security and basic health care, is that asking for too much. Nigerians were not destroying railway lines in the 50s, 60s or 70s.

An estimated 90 million Nigerians are living in extreme poverty, 20 million or more children are out of school, these are the bitter Nigerians that are angry and will do anything to survive.

I fear for Nigeria future.

It's only in Nigeria that train tracks go through the bushes, instead of being close to a major roads.

This country truly deserve Buhari.

We'll be shouting Politicians ain't doing enough, yet the little they managed to do, we'll still spoil it, and you know whenever a Nigerian Politician does something and it gets spoilt, the repair will be left for the next Regime.

Who knows maybe after Bubu Tenure, he'll come out to say the reason he didn't do much is because he knows whatever he does, Nigerians will spoil it.

Nigerians were not destroying railway lines in the 50s, 60s or 70s, so what has happened since then? Inequality, extreme poverty, illiteracy and anger.

It's the politicians that share most of the blame. If people are not going hungry and beat down by poverty, no one will be going around to damage or steal rail track parts.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about trains that run solely within the city or those that run inter-state. It's normal for trains to run through undeveloped parts of the state or bush. It's a common thing. Even in the most developed countries, there are huge area that are Bush that train run through to neighboring states.

The foundational root problems of Nigeria have not been solved. And things will keep deteoriating. Like I have been writing, the problems are embedded in the Nigerian nuclear families.

First, population must be controlled. There is no nation which can overcome poverty with our population. This is the challenge of Indian too. China had to quickly correct her own. There is no job because population is craz.y. Even government is perfect, we cannot survive with the rate population is sky rocketing. High population is why low cost versions of everything is coming out.

If we can control population, I can assure you that Nigeria will get better. Why? It takes reorientation and cooperation of the whole nation to achieve such. What does this mean? We can include some other educational topics in the program to change our wayward lifestyle.

We should not continue criticism kidnapping, ritual killing, 419 acts only. We must look into the ways to change the next generation.

If we ignore what I have posted here, Nigeria will keep sinking. Angel Michael, Gabriel and Uriel can do nothing in Nigeria as long as we continue like this.

Could be Nurtw members... decling patronage but how do you implement such a project without proactively addressing security risks.
So we should still deploy security men to protect train tracks?

Very soon we begin to deploy security to protect new roads that have been built from vandals..

Bad as this is, what example are the parliamentarians giving. Until we begin to vote people-oriented, not by religion or ethnicity & hold them accountable we have no moral rights to judge other criminals

Abeg my brother, maybe they are young.

I don't understand why Nigerian continue to blame the victim for the failure of this political class that was created by the military occupation.

At one time things actually worked across Nigeria, railways weren't vandalised and the politician or military leaders were corrupt but not as excessive as the corrupt bunch of politicians from APC/PDP that have mortgaged the future of Nigerians youth to the point that ritual killing, drugs and banditry is now the norm.
