Discerning fight fans in the house would surely agree that the most electrifying displays of pugilistic talent are generally recorded when all combatants are decked out in sharp business suits, or in flowing traditional gowns as seen in African houses of parliament. Without question, any elected leader who has a vision for the future, a good left hook, and a stinging right jab, deserves my vote any day. The ability to deliver roundhouse karate kicks to opponents' gonads would be icing on the cake.

There are few venues better suited for boxing contests between sharply suited fighters than the Houses of Parliament where elected representatives meet to debate important matters of statehood, and sometimes engage in spirited bouts of fisticuffs, to the delight of onlookers.

The Turkish parliament is a renowned battleground where a variety of innovative fighting styles can be observed. In the below clip, several combatants can be seen DIVING head-first into the frenzied crowd of hysterical lawmakers so as to hand out haymakers left and right with reckless abandon. This crouching tiger fighting modality is admirable and exciting to behold from a spectator's standpoint, but it is clear that collateral damage would be a real concern amid such a chaotic skirmish.

The Ukrainian parliament is another venue where the line between vigorous argumentation and physical hand-to-hand combat is crossed at the drop of a hat. Here one of the learned gentlemen of Ukraine's parliament is seen dishing out loud personal insults to a seated colleague who had evidently been perfecting his combination punches under the tutelage of a seasoned coach. It was not long before the pugilistic confrontation kicked off in earnest, with the loud-voiced gentleman suddenly finding himself under a veritable artillery barrage of hard punches. Enjoy the action below.

An honorable mention is certainly deserved by India's politicians. Here in the below video clip a respected Indian politician removes his shoe and proceeds to beat the crap out of another public servant whose expressed opinion diverged sharply from his own. I counted at least seven solid shoe-strikes to the head of the offending combatant during this enjoyable but all too brief video clip, for which two points each should be awarded by judges.

Sadly, Nigerian lawmakers' mixed martial arts displays leave a lot to be desired. In the footage below that was recorded within the hallowed chambers of Nigeria's House of Representatives, far too much shouting takes place, while the actual combination punches, dropkicks, and body-slams that fight fans pay to see are simply not in evidence. Anyway here is the footage of Nigerian lawmakers exchanging blows in a half-hearted, almost hesitant manner, which fight fans can only hope will improve with time.
