*MAKING A CASE FOR THE UZUEGBUNAM OKAGBUE MANDATE: By Ifeanyi ALIVE Ofochebe*

The era of young men and women sitting by the corner and waiting for that much desired change they want to see in the political space happen is over.Truth is,nothing can change unless you take action.

I get worried each time I see young people discouraging a fellow young man or woman that wishes to aspire for a political office, you hear them making unfounded and unfortunate statements like; "he is too inexperienced", "the position is too big for him"...the above views would have been understandable if it came from an old politician who is desperate to cling unto power, but coming from young people,it is really saddening...these are same young people who grumble and feel short-changed when they are tactically excluded from a job opportunity because of lack of years of experience in such role.

In leadership, you do not need to be young or old before you can be able to make a positive impact on the lives of the people.

Good governance does not have an age bracket,it is the will power to do the right thing that makes a good leader.

All over the world, young people are a valuable asset in any political system because of their penchant for innovative ideas and dream.. in fact, they are the lubricant that moves a nation forward..little wonder we still complain of bad leadership in Nigeria because the young people have been relegated to the background.

As we approach 2023 elections,I call on young people all over the country to indicate interest for elective positions...the ones who can't contest should rally round to support other qualified young people,by so doing,We are still contributing our own quota in ensuring political participation.

To all young persons out there,do not be intimidated by the everlasting presence of old politicians who find it difficult to metamorphose from politicians to statesmen.

When they confront you with the issue of experience and age, kindly reply them by telling them that Sebastian kurz became the Prime minister of Austria at the age of 31,Emmanuel Macron became the President of France aged 39...there are many political leaders today well under 40.Back home here in Nigeria we've had people like orji uzor kalu and Donald Duke who became Governors in their 30's..we've also had heads of state in the past who were in their 30's..let no one deceive you that any political office is too superior for any young man to occupy in Nigeria..that is a fat lie to keep young people away from politics.

UZU 2023 is an idea whose time has come.

It is not a mission impossible.

*Get ready for it.*

Ekwunife will beat both of them silly.

Both can't win.
