It's rare in today's world to see an estranged couple who does not have custody troubles with their children after they decide to split. Some Nigerian celebrities, unfortunately, fall into this category.

In this article, I will discuss some Nigerian celebrities who have been denied access to their children.

Franklin, Ubi

Ubi Franklin, a former music executive turned blogger, has had a rocky relationship with his female counterparts.

He had two children from two different women a few years before marrying Lilian Esoro, a Nollywood actress. Their union resulted in the birth of a son.

His marriage to Lilian Esoro, unfortunately, ended in divorce a few months later. He went on and married Sandra Iheduwa, a woman from the United States, with whom he had a daughter.

But, as luck would have it, their romance ended, and things haven't been easy for the ex-lovers, who have been known to cast shade at each other on social media.

Sandra Iheduwa, who has moved on with another man, has repeatedly said that she will never give Ubi access to their shared kid.

However, in a birthday greeting to his daughter, Ubi claimed that, while it may take some time, he will one day be reunited with her.

Churchill, Olakunle

One of the messiest celebrity breakup stories in the industry is Olakunle Churchill's divorce and custody battle with ex-wife Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress.

Tonto Dikeh and Churchill had been harassing each other on social media for years until they appeared to agree a few years ago to let the "sleeping dog rest."

Tonto Dikeh, on the other hand, has vowed never to let her ex-husband near their son and has since taken on the roles of both father and mother, despite several requests to put the past behind them.

Churchill expressed his desire to reunite with their son, King Andre, in a 2021 birthday message to him, stating that he would never quit up on reuniting with him.

Precious Chikwendu, the ex-wife of Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, has been crying for months about not being able to see her four sons with him.

After a succession of accusations and counter-accusations failed to resolve their differences, the former couple had to turn to court and UN petitions.

As a result, the former beauty queen has promised to do everything she can to ensure that justice is served and that she and her children can be reunited.

Although it may take some time, the children involved in this situation will eventually ask for their other parents and may go so far as to seek them out. It is just a matter of time
