NANS CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TIMELY; BEING THE POSITION OF THE LEADERSHIP OF NANS ZONE C.

On behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS ZONE C
I wish to congratulate the President of the Senate of our noble organization , Comrade Chuks Okafor on the recent amendment of the Constitution of NANS. It is common knowledge that change is the only constant thing and changes occur to accomodate new realities and ensure progress.

It is on records that several attempts had been made to amend the Constitution which remains the working document of the association to no avail, its therefore gladening to any lover of the association to see the success of this current effort to amend the constitution to provide a legal framework and regulatory mechanism for the Association.

Prominent among the amendments is the creation of new zones, this will bring zonal leadership closer to the people as it will take care of new geographical realities and bring structured representation closer to our members. Also I believe this will allow rapid response to students related isuees.
Also noteworthy is tenure of office and processes of transition, this will take care of the sit tight syndrome which has been an issue of serious concern over the years.

As we converge in Sokoto for the adoption of this Constitution, I wish to appeal to all stakeholders, students leaders and lovers of NANS to give their maximum support to this reform and bequeath the union a working documents that answers virtually all our present and future questions.
