hoover420:
Technicians and Engineers in the house,
I intend using a 2000VA capacity stabiliser to power a 1hp Air condition due to the erratic power supply in my area.
My question is, will the 2000va have an effect on the AC or I should go for a 5000va capacity?
(Note:The AC is a low voltage scanFrost and it is working just fine without stabilizer)
A response will be well appreciated
yes of course. 1horsepower is approximately 746watts. VA mean Voltage X Ampere=watts. So 2000watts will effectively power a 746watts airconditioner.

Thank you for your response.
My AC guy recommended getting a 5000va. He said the 2000va would spoil the AC and the stabilizer but that is what I currently have & I don't plan on getting 5kva just to power AC
