How Do I Solve This Very Difficult Probability Problem? by Harmeed: 12:18pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
The question goes this:A basketball team consists of 6 black and 6 white players. The players are to be paired in groups of two for the purpose of determining room -mates.If the pairing are done at random, what is the probability that none of the black players wiill have a white roomate? (I am thinking that the problem consists of a sampling where order matters with replacement so I say that (12+2-1)C(2) (where C is the sign for combination) Is the cardinality of the sample space? Please,am I correct?what steps do I need to take to solve this question) |
