Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion/ understanding about sound pollution.

There are too much noise pollution in Nigeria to the extent that average Nigerians can't speak with lower voice without shouting.

Churches
Mosques
Car honks
Clubs

The listed above are just some of the factors contributing to the noise pollution.

The wavelengths of sound waves range from 17 m (56 ft) to 17 mm (0.67 in). Sound wave can still be detected if it persists for long enough at one frequency, but in general if it only lasts 10 seconds.

If there are different sounds playing/jamming together at the same time, there would be more sound waves at the background which could travel in a more distance.

Though some of them might not be audible after but they are still in our background which affect our hearing. You would see people inside the room, not that they are arguing but you would still be hearing them shouting when talking to each other cos the background noise won't let them hear easily.

Suggestions on how to tackle it

Too much religion centres in a small space should be discouraged.

Religion worship centres should not be located around residential area.

The bars and clubs shouldn't be established anywhere residential area, there should be sound limit from bars and clubs.

Some drivers would be playing a song inside their car and still be using their car honk to sing along.. Imagine a bicycle Rider using trailer honks, those are the work of the road safety..

You can add your own suggestions

Government should begin with providing electricity. Generators are the biggest pollutants.
