Why has the PDP declined to hold a direct primary election like the APC? The PDP was a driving force behind the Electoral Act 2021, insisting the President must sign before the recent amendment that made Direct Primary the sole way to elect a Party Candidate. However, the same party has declined to organize one.

Direct primary is the way to go, especially in a state that is so polarised with many factions and it's give a sense of belonging to the party members.....

Party elections should for elections of executives at ward, local, state, regional and national levels who will serve as delegates at party primaries.
Direct primary is a waste of resources and security risk.
