Why are Senators of the National Assembly of Federal Republic Of Nigeria which is part of the legislative branch of government allowed to be part of the president's executive cabinet as ministers? Is there not a duplication of interests in this arrangement? Furthermore with the huge amount of work that comes with a ministerial post what time if any will those senate ministers have in representing their already underrepresented constituencies?
Can someone please explain to me why it is so?
