The reason is simply, the father of the bride is the one 'giving' her out in marriage... Since she is not yet your wife and assumed to still be under her father... You have to go over to 'collect' her hand in marriage.
The same rational is behind the intro/engagement taking place in the wife's family home.

It's not necessary because my parents are not after those things. What of those who base in abroad but no bride's church or the woman is not interested in any church? Would you force her to choose a church by force? Besides I can't do church marriage, small crowd is needed, everything inside a spacious room or house is okay by me.

Nobody is asking him to like anything. After that day, they start attending his church. And whether or not the wife likes his church or the pastor, won't she attend his church?

Wife to be church Because the man is taking u away with him,so that is the last respect in ur own church.thanksgiving in the man church

This is done to honour her especially if she has a post in her church

Mostly, wedding is for women than men

You can convince her let it be your church but you can still do it in her church, just to honour her
