The Minister of state for power, Goddy Jedy Agba by name, said that power failure in Nigeria now is a thing of the past.

The Minister said this while speaking at a town hall meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, February 22. Agba said by the end of the year, 85 percent of the citizens will have access to electricity.

The purpose of the town hall meeting organized by the Federal Ministry for Information and Culture was to present the achievements of the Buhari government in developing infrastructure.

“Power outages are a thing of the past. By the end of the year, 85 percent of Nigerians will have electricity. Also, all houses are metered – you only pay for what you use,” he said

According to him, many energy projects launched by the federal government will be completed before the end of Buhari’s tenure.

Always living in denial. Wonder if these liars cum scammers live in a different country from the reality in Nigeria today.

I believe you should only make this claim when the country achieves 24hrs uninterrupted power supply. Though power has indeed improved but we are still far from “a thing of the past“.

Also, not every houses have meters, that is a false claim. There are about four streets in my immediate area that do not have meters, including mine. I am sure there are many other streets in other areas that do not have as well.
