Russia is known for selling weapons to Islamic terrorist states. So, it's nothing new at all. It's their habit.

You may be right. Russia may be planning something weird for conniving with terrorist states. But it will be deadly for them if they attempt to exceed their territory to other continents. I think this is one of the reasons the US personally sold weapon to Nigeria military and insisted it must only be used against ISWAP and BOKOHARAM. This Russia-US crisis did not begin today. They've been fighting in background ever since.
