Welbeck Electricity Distribution Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to the provision of stable electricity supply which will fix the problem of epileptic power supply in the country.

This disclosure was contained in different statements of the company's representatives today during Exhibition at the Aje Festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The representatives who spoke on behalf of Chief Executive officer of Welbeck Electricity Distribution, Afolabi Aiyela said by serving specific communities such as industries, economic hubs, and important services, independent power producers like Welbeck were filling a critical niche in the electricity industry.

"The role of independent power producers (IPPs) like Welbeck Electricity Distribution allows the power sector reform aims to be realized.

"From its inception, Welbeck had successfully provided over six IPPs for specific communities in Lagos and across the country.

"We're built to address the needs of individual areas, such as factories, commercial hubs, and estates, that might otherwise struggle with the national grid's unreliability.

"For example, at Welbeck, we serve a number of important institutions across the country, and you'll be surprised to see that our rates are significantly lower than those offered by alternative energy suppliers", Aiyela disclosed.

Annual Aje Festival, alias Aje Heritage Economic Summit, is hosted by Princess (Dr.) Toyin Kolade, lyalaje Oodua.

She hosts it on behalf of the House of Oodua under the Arole Odùduwà, Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II).

Aje Festival 2022, according to Dr. Kolade is a 4-day event festival which would hold in phases, will begin with the Aje Heritage & Economic Summit slated to hold at the Ojaja Arena located inside the Ife Grand Resort in Ile-Ife where Aje Festival Exhibition will also be unveiled to run daily for 4 days

This would be from the 25th to 28th of February, 2022.

Nigeria's economic growth and prosperity could be accelerated if its leaders followed the traditional road and returned to the cradle of the world's first trade and commerce, according to Yoruba mythology.

This year's Aje Festival was celebrated with prayers for Nigeria's economic prosperity in the Igbo Mekun market in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun state.

Aje festival is one of the many festivals reinvigorated by Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

According to Yoruba mythology, Aje is the goddess that brings fortunes, wealthy and economic prosperity to human beings.

This is why till today, the Yorubas always wish, hope and pray to encounter Aje, the goddess of economic prosperity in their commercial endeavours.
