I'm a final year medical laboratory science student, medical microbiology and parasitology major. I have this interest in coding and I wish to learn and possibly apply the knowledge in my field in the near future. So please experts in the house, which direction would you advice. Thanks

Although javascript too can come into play. There are Js libraries like Biojs for DNA sequencing.

But I strongly recommend python and since you are looking to use it in your line of study, you can go python libraries later eg: biopython for Data analysis and bio informatics
