The Federal Government has announced that evacuation of many Nigerians who have fled to the war in Ukraine will begin on Wednesday March 2, 2022.

According to an interview on channel Television, The minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved funds for the airlines to evacuate Nigerians.

Punch.ng reports that Geoffrey Onyeama said the Federal Government has reach a good talk with Air Peace and Air Max to airlift the Nigerians who wants to evacuate.


According to Geoffrey, it's is the sole responsibility of Nigerian government to make sure Nigerians that are stranded are evacuated immediately.


Lastly, the Minister said those Nigerians who use their money to travel outside the country should take full responsibility of themselves returning home.
