The US energy production is becoming more diversified as we speak. Texas, one of the most conservative states in the US is even one of the leaders.

You are a either a pessimist or just Anti-West..
EU had already laid out a plan to cut dependence on Russian energy by 2/3 for this year alone and further more in coming months. Yes, some people will protest, but the pain will be temporary and they would finally wean themselves off Russian gas and blackmail. No more protest to turn on NS2 or NS1 to continue the addiction. I am glad this pipeline sabotage will even hasten the process. cool

If using present realities to predict possible future scenarios is termed pissimism in your Langly dictionary, then that's your take. I'm good with it. cool

The fact remains that most of the industrialized world still rely on traditional energy sources. Diversification is on, no one is denying that, but only western bots thinks it's a magic wand that would make it happen in seconds.

It's good that you admit that the EU would see real pain. Whatever, Russia has already written them off, pivoting to EastAsia and beyond.

While most part of the EU would move on eventually, at the end, some of them will still crawl back to Moscow because the fact remains: you can never replace CHEAP in mineral resources. cool

The culprit was never far off.

They had been planning this for a while. There were reports even as far back as June. Russia likes to attack infrastructures, especially now that it will favour them to wriggle out of violated terms of contracts.

Sadly, your take on it changed nothing. Everyone knew from the inception that this was going to be the end result of the brouhaha.

If it was good for NATO-Kosovo, it should be good for Dombass-Russia.

The EU aren't crying as much as Africans or even South Americans. Last time I checked, the EU residents are not begging for handouts/aids, and Africans are still crossing the deadly Sahara only to end up at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea. With the arrival of Meloni, the Mediterranean bed is about to welcome more Africans grin

the annexation was always going to happen the moment russian troops entered ukraine. Infact if it were sports betting the odds would be between 1.15 or 1.20 at the highest.zelensky should have stuck to whatever agreement (however unfavourable it was).i knew he was hoping on the west to help him (which they have tbf),but their help was never going to be enough. And i dare say that ukraine has lost these 4 regions forever.(btw you can call me a putard if you want). I did not spend 4 years studying political science and majoying in international relations for nothing. I am a realest, putin is not the first and wont be the last man to annex territories of other countries.
