Lol. Russia also was running a constitution of two terms. Putin only influenced the Duma to approve a bill that allows the president to contest even after using two terms as long as he is not doing it for a third consecutive term. Putin was first elected twice between 2000 and 2008. Then Medvedev became president and appointed putin prime minister for another four years. Putin came back in 2012 then influenced Duma again to allow him recontest in 2018. Ukraine is still a fledgling democracy and this can easily happen. Winning a war is one of those things that can make a president more influential and powerful. Zelensky has already shown several dictatorship traits, even much more than Putin. If Russia loses the war, he will become a bigger monster.

Ukraine don't run a chaotic constitution that allows president spend decades in power. Russia, N. Korea and China do. That means zelensky won't stay beyond 2030 at most by which time Ukraine can never recover and grow big enough to disturb even Russia.

It's not even about the war though. It's just a general observation about Ukraine and USA alliance with them.

After the war, whether Ukraine wins or loose, one thing is sure. Ukraine will become more powerful militarily because the USA and EU will pump more weapons for them to prevent another invasion, so as to make them.a buffer against Russia militarily , the way Indian is to China in Asia, so they will want someone will not go out of control to control all that power.

What Putin did in Russia , almost happened to Nigeria with Obasanjo in 2006, when he almost convinced the National assembly to change the constitution to grant him third term, He bribed them with Ghana must go bags full of money. It almost worked, but Atiku twarted the plan because he had an ambition of becoming president, himself (and not necessarily because he loved the country grin).

Note that it was easy for Obasanjo to make such proposition because our democracy was still young then. No president can try such again now because we are now matured.

Zelensky tested the waters with banning of opposition parties. Tomorrow he may want to remove term limits from his presidency before you know it, it becomes a slippery slope into dictatorship from there

How many of these fighters have been captured so far? We saw British fighters captured in Mariupol. There are no such american mercenaries in Ukraine. Putin is a quack war strategist and media propaganda won't win him the war he calls SMO.
