Make: Audi. Model: A6 Engine: 2,771cc V6 2 x DOHC 30V. Fuel system: Sequential, Multi-point fuel injection. Fuel type: Petrol. Induction: Naturally aspirated. Cylinder head: Light alloy. Cylinder block: Cast iron. TRANSMISSION 5 speed Tiptronic. Drive: 4WD. PERFORMANCE Power: 193 bhp. Torque: 280 Nm (207 lb-ft). 0-60 mph: 8,9 secs. Maximum speed: 142 mph (230 km/h). RUNNING COSTS 24 mpg. Euro Emission Standard: Euro IV. Notes: Mid-size luxury sedan from Audi. In it's second generation, the C5 Audi A6 is well equipped, greater aluminium content keeps the weight down, AWD adds extra weight, so slightly slower off the mark than the FWD version. Quattro drive gives immense lateral grip, and will keep going in most adverse road conditions. Relatively vice-free, though some maintenance items are not easy to access - timing belt replacement requires front end strip down. Tiptronic fluid needs regular replacement, at least once annually if the car's used for towing, or driven more in stop-start traffic.
