Damn nassarawa ain't safe that much buh lafia is much safer.
I remember when i lodge for Tino hotel with one akwa ibom babe like that.

i am from nasarawa state. though there is no state in nigeria where there are no chaos but trust me, so far no any evil recorded in the state in terms of insurgency

@OP, you didn't specify the part of the state - hope u aware it's quite large.

However since you mentioned education, I assume it's within the two major cities - Lafia and Keffi - where I believe they have the higher institutions. And in that case, both are quite okay in terms of safety.

Where you have occasional skirmishes are at the outskirts or border towns (eg Kadarko)

It has also had it's fair share of fighting and killings, especially towns areas like Obi, Awe, Kadarko. Just last December there were herders farmers clash that led to many deaths
