When Russia invaded Georgia in 2008,the then president of Poland said.
"Today it is Georgia,tomorrow it might be Ukraine and maybe the baltics and my country Poland next"

14 years down the line,Ukraine had found themselves in a dangerous and deadly situation like the Georgians then found themselves.it is even more worse now.the Ukrainian government could have prevented this destruction that have come upon them if they where much more proactive and resisted corruption.

The Ukrainians could have built up their defense systems and produce all the basic weapons they need indepently.look at Taiwan,they manufacture all their systems ranging from aircrafts,missile defense to even ships.ukraine would have followed this path and allocate much more to their millitary and equipped them especially in the aspect of missile defence.14 years was much for the Ukrainian millitary and government to put themselves in order to be able to resist any form of invasion.if Ukrainian millitary were as equipped as Taiwan,I can bet you some of russian cities would have been hit by missiles and bombs in retaliation.but the corrupt and short sighted Ukrainian government never took defence of their country seriously until it was too late.

Ukraine would have bowed to russian pressure when they knew that they weren't strong enough to resist the russians.they couldn't have relied on the USA so much.even America left South Vietnam when they needed them the most.america and European allies had deceived Ukraine and pushed them into challanging the bear(Russia) to a battle and now they are speaking with both side of their mouths while Ukrainians are been bombed steadily.

A failed and short sighted government always bring pains to its people

This is exactly the situation of Ukraine.
