You think say taking selfie and going to battlefield na the same thing. It remains Zelenskyy that go using social media to instigate his people to fight a war that they can't win. I want to him Zelenskyy in the battle with his aides and securities fighting and not hiding inside bunker while commanding innocent civilians to go and perish before their time.

A Patriot indeed.

Most Nigerians can't relate, they think life is about charging phone and taking selfie.

Life is lived once and just like in the game of Chess where the pawns despite enjoying so little in the common wealth of their nation are the first to be dealt with. Poor soul, adieu.

He is not unfortunate. He died for something he believe in. He made his own Sacrifice to defend his countries independence.

"Sacrifice" is a strange word to Africans . They need Awoof but will never pay a little price for it. They rather Accept anything life throws at them and tag is "Will of God" without standing up to Challenges.

They will pray from now till 30 days for God to change their leaders heart but will never step out and boldly help God answer that prayer point by voting right people into power

Many Africans are foolish, Always crying racism as if anyone is stopping them from giving The Whites Racism treatment too.

This is the first time in a long time I've seen a sensible message here on nairaland. God bless you a million times!!!!

The casualties are not only those who are dead.
They are well out of it.
The casualties are not only those who are dead.
Though they await burial by installment.
The casualties are not only those who are lost
Persons or property, hard as it is
To grope for a touch that some
May not know is not there.

The casualties are not only those led away by night.
The cell is a cruel place, sometimes a haven.
Nowhere as absolute as the grave.
The casualties are not only those who started
A fire and now cannot put out. Thousands
Are burning that have no say in the matter.
The casualties are not only those who are escaping.
The shattered shall become prisoners in
A fortress of falling walls....

Thank you jare, Wise one. I was about to reply when I saw yours . The only sacrifice they know is to offer pregnant houseflies and virgin cockroaches for the gods to give them riches . Someone died protecting his people and his land and cowardly way to honor him was to consider him a casualty of war. What a cowardly statement.

First world war was caused by the assasination of one man.
Second world war was caused by the invasion of one country against another and it spilled.
Third world war...... Russia be blamed. Because it us arising gradually. From economic sanctions to military contributions to war.

Then Nigeria has a war that they have been waiting to fight.

Zenith of heroism and patriotism
Just read a little about him on Wikipedia now, interesting he rejected an Award in 1966 at the Negro Festival Arts Award saying that there's no Negro or Black poet. IT'S intriguing how he thinks I'd really love to read his poems which beautiful titles I saw on Wikipedia.I Hope I can find them someday cuz the bookstore nearby sure doesn't have it

... There's nothing heroic in fighting and loosing your life except one was in a state of self defence.

This is a death that could have being avoided.
He should have sat and asked himself, "I'm young with potentials, what has my country done for me? "

I have never heard any news out of Ukraine until now, oh and my cousin attended med school there many years ago.
