The professor of English and Dean of the Faculty of Arts,
University of Uyo, whose name is identifed as Joseph Ushie, has
opined out that the Federal Government does not value education.

According to him, the disposition of the
government as regards the ongoing industrial action by the
Academic Staff Union of Universities shows that it does not
understand how the university system works.

How can he, when he is a Mallam? The post of an education minister should be taken seriously and must only be occupied by professors with expertise in curriculum development.

Government does not need educated and enlightened minds that will sit down at home and realised their lives are being messed up by the system.

They need a dumb population, living in poverty that will cheer government officials whenever they do the bare minimum.
