The article starts with information about the imminent emergence of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the next chairman of the APC and that it is one of the political moves by President Buhari to have control of the party and decide who his successor would be. I see this opinion as an irresponsible one from the writer and a move by him to push his own delusion of not wanting the revered Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.
It is worthy to note that the author of the article Emma Aziken, is an Ibo citizen and it is not news that the Ibo have been waging war against Yoruba contenders for the 2023 Presidential elections as a move in furthering their own interests of becoming the President come 2023. The article from the first paragraph reeks of Ibo propaganda against the Yoruba people and an assault on the right of the Yoruba to succeed President Buhari in 2023. Their several political maneuvers have been to rebuke Yoruba for wanting to contest in 2023, paint Yoruba candidates (especially Tinubu) dirty, publish biased and one-sided articles against Yoruba candidates (Tinubu to be precise), and trying to use threats to get our candidates to leave the Presidency for them by saying “it is the south east turn to get the presidency” but they forget that they spend NAIRA which translates as “Never Allow Ibo Rule Again”.
Continuing with the repudiation, he writes that Tinubu deserves to be compensated by Buhari for his role in ensuring his victory in 2015 and 2019 but that won’t be the case. He continued that the signs are “ominous” and everywhere but he failed to tell what those signs were. Continued by saying that “to the distress of some political commentators Tinubu has reduced himself, running around in a way not fitting for a kingmaker status of his” – the statement is not only foolish but also a display of gullibility by the Ibo writer. I wouldn’t be surprised if the so-called political commentators are Ibo since that’s what they do and that has been their strategy against us, and seeing that Nigeria is a multi-ethnic state, no ethnic group can win the Presidency alone without allies from other ethnicities. When Buhari was to be President, he enlisted the support of the Yoruba and Tinubu to get our votes but Tinubu is now doing the same and they’re saying that it’s not fitting for him, that’s rubbish of the highest order from the writer and I hope you’re seeing him for who he is (Anti-Yoruba). Does he expect Tinubu to sit in Lagos doing nothing and he’ll miraculously win the election? No, he has to rally around, use all his influence, break grounds and make use of his networks in getting the Hausa-Fulani, the middle belt, the Kanuri people and people of the south south to vote for him, the Ibo are just angry that he’s doing all that and that they stand no chance against him once he’s the flag-bearer of the APC.
He wrote further, saying that “the pliable weapon being used against Tinubu appears to be the newly signed electoral act which the Buhari camp seems to have quickly taken as a tool to forge a consensus against his former political benefactor” and continued further by saying that Tinubu’s camp made moves to uproot the consensus in the adoption of party officials by political parties in the electoral bill but that was very wrong because it was Buhari on December refused his assent to the bill, he went further saying that Femi Gbajabiamila caused the deletion- we shouldn’t condone fake news. If Buhari was at war against Tinubu, he would have signed the bill into law but he returned it to the parliament to remove that clause, but we know the writer is an Ibo writer and will try to discredit Tinubu at every turn and try to present illusionable rifts to the public in order to deceive them into believing the Tinubu-Buhari rift were real.
The Ibo writer continued further with his ridiculous claims of unverified information on the chairmanship position of the APC and other spews of rubbish information just to fill his Tinubu hate and appeal to his Ibo haters, Yoruba liberals, and other anti-Tinubu factions.
Rather than for him to focus on writing about his fellow Ibo men who are aspiring to be the president come 2023, he’s disparaging the Yoruba people by writing series of articles against the Yoruba and Tinubu. I wonder how the Ibo effortlessly try to meddle in Yoruba politics while you find next to no Yoruba meddling in the Ibo political affairs. Aziken is just another Ibo we should shun because they know that the Ibo can never be president but they’re just trying to prevent the Yoruba from becoming the president by all forms of tricks and gimmicks but they should know that we’ll come for them in 2023 after we have made Tinubu president, dealing with them ruthlessly.
The article should have been rightly titled “The Ibo Consensus against Tinubu” so people cannot be deceived into reading their propaganda but trust them to use an headline to signify universal agreement rather than their local Ibo consensus.

You're irresponsible for dragging a whole tribe to your nonsense write up

President Muhammadu Buhari in his wisdom endorsed senator Abdullahi adamu as his preffered candidate for APC chairmanship, why not face him instead of attacking the Igbos over buhari choice of APC chairmanship you coward?

I am not Igbo but the way you people blame the igbos for Tinubu woes makes me sick
