A US writer working in Ukraine has been shot dead in the town of Irpin, outside Kyiv, police say.
Brent Renaud, 50, was a columnist and producer who was working in the locale for Time.
Kyiv’s police boss Andriy Nebytov said he had been designated by Russian officers. Two different columnists were harmed and taken to medical clinic.
It is the main detailed passing of an unfamiliar columnist covering the conflict in Ukraine.
One of the harmed writers, Juan Arredondo, told an Italian correspondent he had been with Renaud when they experienced harsh criticism.
