1) As a senator, Owelle Rochas Okorocha does not collect a salary. Surprising right? But it's a fact. While most political office holders seek more means of amassing wealth through their office, Rochas does not.

2) During his tenure as Governor of Imo state, Transparency International and the Bureau of Statistics adjudged Imo as the least corrupt state in Nigeria.

3) Over 22,000 Nigerian youths have benefitted from his Foundation (Rochas Foundation), through free education and empowerment. The Foundation, which was founded in 1998, long before he got involved in politics or assumed office is located in various parts of Nigeria and Africa.

4) Rochas Okorocha is very passionate about women's empowerment. He voted in favor of women's inclusive bills, which sought to increase the number of women in power and decision-making. According to him, "Women should not be seen as second-class citizens but as equal partners."
