Nigeria government will do everything possible to push their ineptitude on Russia-Ukrain war. There was already fuel scarcity, little to no supply of electricity, soaring prices of food items, before the war began. So, our leaders shouldn't tell us the reason for their ineffectiveness Is due to the war. Also, they shouldn't worsen our condition due to the war. They have already failed us before the war got started. 2 Likes |

30% of the world's wheat flour comes from both country. Egypt for instance relies so much on Russia for their flour. With the ongoing war coupled with the fear of disruption food supplies globally countries such as Algeria and Egypt have banned temporarily export of some commodities such as sugar. Down here in Nigeria, most of our refined oil are imported. With the rise in crude oil prices its both a blessing and a curse to us. Right now the price of diesel has increased. Unfortunately, we rely so much on diesel to power our industries. These inadvertently will be transferred to the consumers. You must have read that those in bakery industry are planning to shutdown. 1 Like |

Everything has been up in this devil forsaken country before the war na... or are you trying to absolve Buhari of blames again? Even the so cold oil that is a major drive of our economy was up due to the war, which was supposed to be an advantage, but what happen... Nothing, it was even as though the stupid oil was selling at 20dollars per barrel as the Nigeria situation can testify. Mtcheeeeew! |

Nigeria, Brazil, India and China are the future. Nigeria is one of the only few countries which can be food independent. We can farm everything we need. We can plant rice, beans, yam, tomatoes, onions okra etc the food products we can't plant here like strawberry, apple etc are not essential. Very soon the rest of the world will start simping for us just as they are simping for India and China now. We just need to stop embarrassing ourselves outside and come back to Nigeria. As you can see with the situation in Ukraine, you can never be rated in another man's land. Even billionaires who ran away from home with their loots got their loots confiscated by the thieving Anglos |

CheapHomes1: Ukraine and Russia are responsible for 25% of global wheat exports. Price of crude oil and natural gas has gone up too. This would have a knock on impact on the price of foodstuffs globally. 1 Like |

If not for our national disasters such as bad leaders, greed (both leaders and average citizens), security issues, religious and tribal differences, this would have been a great time for Nigeria to arise and take her place as a strong nation. We have the manpower and arable land to grow enough food for foreign trade. It is well with us! |
