Why the poor operates with olive oil

Oil wells should solely belong to the government with operators having a percentage or stake as long as they are licensed to operate and profits split between them and FG. This is why Nigeria is poor. No one should own an oil well, except the oil is discovered on land they purchased. I don’t know all the details of this “Ownership” though.

Most of these oil well allocations were done illegally and should be revoked. Army had no right to give anybody oil well.

Those shouting Igbos, go and check the oil block list 10 yrs ago, there is no single Igbo man there except maybe Artur Eze or Emeka Offor fronting for IBB. So, whatever they owned now was acquired by them. What you guys don't know is over the last 10yrs Igbos have monopolized the oil and gas service industry, giving them the leverage to acquire these oil block from the owners that don't have the money to tap them or know partners willing to invest in exploration, let alone drilling and production. This is where Igbo owned service companies come in. Come back here next 10yrs, Igbos would have acquired 90% of all the oil wells because they control the brain or service industry and have the money.

Don't mind the idiats fixating on Igbos. After the war ended in 1970 and the subsequent military regimes that followed, Northerners shared the oil wells to themselves as spoils of war! That was the era when the likes of Danjuma, Abacha, Meribe and the rest cornered the most prolific oil wells to themselves. Even the Yorubas and Ijaws that claimed to fight the war with them against Igbos got almost nothing!

The same Igbos through expertise, intelligence and enterprising nature were able to claw their way back to the top of the food chain in the oil industry. They kept buying over the oil wells and assets of fleeing IOC's who don't want anything to do with the Niger Delta anymore. Currently, Seplat was able to buy over Mobil's assets when no other company whether Nigerian or foreign was willing or had the resources to do so. Yet the same evil Nigerian government through NNPC is standing as a stumbling block to a transaction that has been concluded already.

How I wish Igbo technocrats in the oil industry will only invest in oil and gas assets in Igboland alone and take the rest to other African countries that desperately need such investments.
