The main reason for the thread is to shed more light as regards the accepted German shepherd bloodlines

As I’ve come to realize that some of our people have a difficulty to decipher btw what a pure line Gsd actually is (don’t quote me wrong this is not to slander anyone, I also own one but it’s mainly for the purpose of education and clarification as well as fun)
Imagine someone trying to get an adult purebred Gsd at 60k?!!!

There are five major lines of the german shepherd
The strengths and weaknesses of each of the distinct different lines/types of dogs makes the difference between them. Unfortunately, subjective personal preferences, likes and dislikes as well as kennel blindness can enter into the discussions of lines/types of dogs.
The types namely;

West German showlines
American showlines
West German working lines
DDR/Eastern working lines
Czech working lines

1. Western German showlines

2 American Showlines

3. West German working lines

4. Eastern working lines (DDR)

5. CZECH WORKING LINE

So next time before you claim your dog is from a pure line of Gsds do well to check what line it belongs to
Though we do have other categories like “SHOWLINE X WORKINGLINE” crosses anything aside that my dear petlanders is a counterfeit

But then all dogs are good (pure or not)
I just feel some sort of disrespect for the Gsd breed when someone says ‘over his dead body he can’t spend hundreds of thousands to get a German shepherd’ with the mentality that they’re not worth more than a penny
