He already won the case at the lower court on merit, it was the lower federal court that ordered her to pay Trump that money. She went to appeal that decision but didn't file the notice of appeal within the thirty day deadline and that's why her appeal was thrown out on technicalities. So you're wrong, Trump won his case on merit, she lost her appeal against his victoy on technicalities and you wonder why lawyers who know the law will deliberately decide to file a notice of appeal outside the legally allowed timeframe. My opinion is that they did it deliberately because they know they have no case.
