The genesis of Ukraine/Russia conflict started when the west supported a coup that ousted then democratic elected president of Ukraine because he was building ties with Russia. He was ousted in February 2014, Putin took crimea March 2014 to prevent Ukraine from joining nato, because any member with boundary ish is not eligible to join, if he had not join that, Ukraine would have been a nato member since 2014.

After crimea ish, came the Minsk agreement to give special status to Russian in Ukraine but zelensky came and violated the agreement he kept killing ethnic Russians in Ukraine in the name of fighting separatists, renewing calls to join nato, he was just misinformed, stupid and I don’t see Russia leaving Ukraine until they achieve their objectives.

If taking crimea was only to prevent them, why is he still including it amongst his "lists" for peace?

The US can face a fight militarily, they are well grounded. I can’t say about today but it appears their military is weaker than it was, but declaring war against the US was one of the things that lead ultimately to Hitler’s downfall

Point of correction, the Russia were not fighting the Germans, they no reach, the Germans were simply massacring them in Russia. After defeated the Japanese, the USA went straight to fight the Germans, they dealt with the Germans solders and reduced their large numbers. The Germans has the largest number of armies and weapons but the USA made their numbers counted for nothing to the extent Hiltler had to commit suicide when it is so obvious that the USA had over powered him.
