Though some ppl have a reading technique in which what they read is not word for word but they seems to know the paragraph where the main story line is based on….. these are the ppl u see flipping the book pages as if they r just scanning it but in essence they are not really deep readers. They will finish a 500 pages book within 10 hours.

Other ppl read their books word for word, these are the ppl that really understands the essence of a book and no character is left out from their attention.

For me(I read word for word), when I was in my prime of book reading, 200 pages a day was what I always attain. So 200 pages a day is possible for a fast reader who does his reading word for word.
