Excellent postulation of Monsieur Bastiat here and it is most applicable to #Nigeria. The extremely wicked and corrupt Nigerian ruling elites deliberately enacted weak anti-corruption laws in the failed Nigerian system so that they will safely enjoy their loots.

And the saddest thing here is that more than 90% Nigerian religious scholars - both Muslim and Christian - are embedded with these notorious treasury looters and economic terrorists.

One of the reasons why the wicked ruling elites are united in hating the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky is because the Movement is not in their pockets unlike other religious organizations.

It is important to note that the leading opposition party PDP refused to condemn the genocidal massacre of more than one thousand innocent men, women, children and infants in Zaria in December, 2015. #ZariaGenocide

Inference:

Those we have in power in Nigeria are not leaders, they are bloodthirsty killers and economic terrorists. Shameless treasury looters. They enrich themselves, families and cronies while hundreds of millions wallop in abject poverty. #WakeUpNigeria
