1. What is Lagos Ride?
Lagos Ride is an e-hailing Taxi Scheme that promotes ride sharing as an objective to reducing travel cost, travel time, road congestion, environmental pollution, whilst enhancing travel experiences.

2. Who can participate in Lagos Ride?
All LASRRA registered residents of Lagos from age 18 and above can participate on Lagos Ride, subject to acceptable reports on the applicant’s (for driver-hirer) good health, credentials, driving proficiency, good conduct/character, and fair literacy ability. Applicants can be any of individuals, groups/associations, or corporate entities. Lagos Ride is gender friendly. Only successful applicants will be on-boarded.

3. How can I register for Lagos Ride?

4. What other requirements, apart from LASRRA, do I need to register for Lagos Ride?
i. Valid LASDRI Certification (Lagos State Drivers Institute) for intending drivers.
ii. NIN (National Identification Number – NIMC)
iii. Valid Drivers’ Licence
iv. Medical Check (to be conducted at Lagos Ride’s partner centres)
v. Home Address.
vi. Good Background Security check.

5. How can Lagos Ride Taxis be acquired?
Prospective hirers will go through two (2) stages:
i. Pre-qualification: - Drivers will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of N17,000.00 to cover the cost of verifying the information/documents supplied in 4 above.
ii. Qualification: - Notified successful applicants, will be required to pay about N1.9million upfront, for the allotment of vehicles. The cost covers:
• The 20% deposit of the cost of vehicle.
• 1st year’s Vehicle Insurance.
• Portion for android device cost.
• Portion for security device cost.

6. What models of vehicles are being used by Lagos Ride Scheme?
Two models of GAC vehicles are being used to start up the scheme. They are:
i. GS3 model – a mini-SUV
ii. GA4 model – a saloon car.

7. What is the cost of the Lagos Ride cars?
The cost of the car is N7.5 million, payable over four years with interest at 17.5%/pa. The cost is exclusive of:
i. Vehicle Registration.
ii. Annual Comprehensive Insurance.
iii. LASG E-Hailing Levy.
iv. Android devices loaded with the App to be given to each driver.
v. Installed security gadgets.
vi. Statutory certification and soft/refresher trainings.

8. Who owns the vehicles and what happens after the full payment of the hire purchase cost?
The vehicles, until full payment of the hire purchase costs, are owned by Ibile Holdings Limited. Ownership of the vehicle is transferred after payment and the hirer exercises his/her/its discretion to either remain on the Lagos Ride Scheme or withdraw. However, upon withdrawal, all the assemblages and paraphernalia of Lagos Ride on the vehicle and with the hirer, will be removed/retrieved.

9. Can the branding of the car be changed?
The branding (colour, logo, and other Lagos Ride insignia/paraphernalia) cannot be changed until full payment of the vehicle is done.

10. Can hirers exit/fully pay down the hire cost before 48 months?
Yes. But the earliest allowable period is twenty-four (24) months.

11. On which technology can Lagos Ride be accessed?
Lagos Ride will solely be available on the dedicated Lagos Ride App, which is already available on the digital stores.

12. What is the maintenance plan?
Maintenance will be activated at set milestones and will be carried out at authorised workshops coordinated by the vehicle supplier.
13. What are the training plans for Lagos Ride Partners?
Lagos Ride Partners will undergo training on:
• Lagos Ride App usage
• Structured driving/mechanical training.
• Soft skills training:
- Courtesy & customer appreciation.
- Health & Wellness.
- First Aid.
- Safety & security.
- Money appreciation.

14. To what other uses can I use the Lagos Ride App?
- Create a Partner (Driver/Hirer/Rider) account.
- Fund wallet to pay for services.
- Access and receive information/support.
- Send out emergency alert
- Receive maintenance and servicing notifications when due.
- Plan trips.
- Rate, review and report services or partners.
- Raise requests.
