AE-FUNAI STUDENT ELECTED NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF EDUCATION STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (ESAN)
A 400 level student of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi State, Ekemini David Abasi Nse has been elected the National President of Education Students’ Association of Nigeria (ESAN).

The keenly contested online election held on 19th March, 2022 saw Ekemini who is also the Chairman of the AE-FUNAI Debating Society, defeating two other candidates with 48.1% of the total votes cast.

ESAN is the largest students’ organization in the Nigerian tertiary education system, comprising students of Faculties of Education in federal, state and private universities, and Colleges of Education. ESAN is also the largest movement of undergraduates of any profession in Nigeria.

Ekemini’s election is coming on the heels of Comrade Chukwudi Chukwudubem Anointing’s election as the National President of the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA).
