Welcome to Nairaland L.O.T.S, an experimental MUD RPG.

this game will evolve over time, so we'll keep modifying.

In summary:
- Team A vs Team B, moving across terrain in search of some target.

- Both teams face challenges. Correct solutions gives 10 points, wrong answers loose 5 points.

- Points used to move, buy food, weapons, powers, etc.

- Questions/tasks expire after 24hrs unsolved. 1 week = 1 chapter, 1 month = 1 season.

SEASON 1, CHAPTER 1: iice in the tower

Team A: Shrek, Donkey, Fiona
Team B: villagers, hoods, squatters, godmother, etc

PREAMBLE: Shrek wants his swamp back. He has to answer 3 questions correctly or loose his swamp forever. If he answers all 3 questions correctly, he gets to go on a final quest for his swamp.
(TEAM B now asks 3 questions, 1 at a time)

On getting all 3 correct, Shrek's Quest starts. Person to give last correct answer gets to continue the plot.

Shrek spent the whole of yesterday interviewing his squatters. None of them knew the answer so he promptly threw them out.

He had almost given up hope till an obnoxious donkey came along.

No point asking this one, says he. Even if he knows, how will he tell me?

He was shocked to hear the donkey reply :

and after then, no more quest

Through the fields, and through the rocks
Shrek did haste. Knowing not

Prince Charming set out
brushing all cobwebs, along the way!

At last, came Shrek
upon a lake so clear
it merged with the sky.

Weary and thirsty,
he knelt to drink.

Ack! Who goes there?
Asked a voice

seeing no one,
he asks aloud:
And who might you be?

Merlin. Replies the voice
And no mortal may drink
of the Mists of Avalon!

Pray tell me, I beg of thee
what am I, s'pos'd to do?

Beyond these Mists,
lies the land, of little men
there perhaps,
your luck might shine!
Replied Merlin.

Alrighty, then!
Shrek answers
I hope, by jove,
I make it there!

One more thing, before you go
there lies here, cast in stone
a sword, in dragon's breadth fired

Take it, if thou canst
for your life, surely may
one day, depend on it!

And so, weary and thirsty
he approached a bright
and shiny sword,
buried to the hilt,
in a rocky cleft.

Thugging and pulling,
grunting and shuffling,
with all his might,
try as he might,
the sword stayed fast.

Tired and hungry,
he fell asleep until
sounds so shrill,
of fairies about,
caused him to stir.

Ever so lightly, he opened an eye
and spying one, within his reach
grabbed her, and wouldnt let go!

Dear me! Cried the fairy
crush me not, I beg of thee!

I not only will,
but also eat you
replied Shrek,

unless of course you reveal, how to get this sword

Ok! Ok! Replied the fairy
about thy neck, a talisman
within which lies, a potent charm
cast thou now, a swapping spell!

And so, at last
the sword, Shrek got
by casting a spell,
the sword he swapped
with his own knife!

Tell me, Sweet Fairy
before thou flit,
what be thy name?
Pweety4me, fairy replies.

I bid thee goodspeed,
Merlin echoes.
he that hath the sword,
on A-v-a-l-o-n may tread!

And by so doing,
Shrek passed through
six lands, all in a go!

Till at last, the
town of Little Men,
came he upon.

For want of time,
we shall not dwell
on Shrek's travail,
in Littleville.

Suffice to say,
the men tho lite
packed a mighty
big punch!

And were it not
for Fate's goodluck,
Shrek till this day
might still be kept.

It so happened,
that tired and hungry
he fell asleep,
on golden shores.

And when he stirred,
twas to sounds, of
men about, knocking
and shouting, nailing
and a'hammering.

He tried to rise,
but while he slept
the littlemen had,
over him built.

How he got free,
and set on his quest
are best described
in Gulliver's Travels.

When at last,
he was now free
on Black Pearl, he
with Sparrow set sail.

They sailed all day,
and through the night
try as they might,
to World's End shores
they could not get.

Until at last, by
stroke of genius
they keeled the ship
at midnight sharp.

And thus stood Shrek,
on World's End shores!
