Make the economy to be good and better...no poverty ,no hunger ,no hardship, low costs of food stuffs, low cost living, develop the rural areas and create jobs and bussiness opportunities there., constant electricity light. . Create jobs for the youths and bussiness opportunities, make bussinesses, small and medium bussinesses to strive so that youths can go into those bussinesses.... with all this banditry and criminal activities will reduce drastically and stop

See other quotes from the same interview, where Barrlow makes it clear that they had already exited Nigeria long before Buhrari, becasue they were not paid.

https://www.arise.tv/insurgency-jonathan-not-buhari-terminated-private-military-contract-says-sa-contractor/

Extract:

We were contracted by the National Security Adviser, Colonel Dasuki, and his office in late October 2014 and it was that administration and that office that terminated the contract. It was not the current administration,” Conella spokesman told ARISE News.

He added further that: “By the time the current administration took power, we were long gone, unfortunately, and the main reason for the termination was nonpayment. We had milestones written to the contract for payment, those milestones were unfortunately not met by the Nigerian government.

“Perhaps priorities changed, perhaps, with a view to the election around the corner, people thought differently about where to spend their money.

“We can only speculate about that, but that was the reason, it was non-payment, it was not non-performance by our side. As a matter of fact, we achieved almost the impossible within a month of our operations for the first time in three years, two major cities that were in the hands of Boko haram Bama and Gwazo were back in the hands of security forces and at the end of our contract the sambisa was being assaulted by our unit.”

Don't be deceived by mercenary journalist!
Colonel Eeben Barlow, the leader of the strike force team does not hide his face but a mere spokesman
is afraid.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/11/26/mercenary-leader-accuses-nigeria-squandering-gains-against-boko/

Hired by then President Goodluck Jonathan in the wake of the Chibok schoolgirl abduction, the mercenaries were credited with driving Boko Haram out of most of their strongholds in north-east Nigeria.

But after just three months, their contract was cancelled by incoming President Muhammadu Buhari, a former general, who told The Telegraph at the time that the Nigerian army should be able to do the job alone.

Nigeria is well-known for not paying contractors on time, so the mercenaries never left due to non-payment.
They left because Buhari asked them to leave.
Ask any senior officer serving at the time, the mercenaries were still very much on ground until
Buhari expelled them.

In fact, if they are long gone before Buhari came in, nobody will have associated Buhari's name
with them.

The man who had all the solutions to the security challenges in the country before 2015 is still clueless 7years into his administration as Governor of Kaduna state.

Such a disgrace.

The president is solely to blame in respect of the bandits.

I suggested this long ago. It was the tool used by GEJ successfully but discarded by this government actively supported by the likes of El Rufai. Now he wants mercenaries, seeing that the military is overwhelmed.

Anyway there is a certain fear now in me, when El Rufai suggests this. Do not forget that we were told how he settled the Fulanis imported from other countries before the 2015 election and they refused to return to their countries. How can we be assured that this is not a smokescreen to bring more of them into the country to help APC remain in power, as 2023 approaches?

When did El-Rufai condemn Jonathan's use of mercenaries?

When the former government did same, this same El-Rufai, Buhari, Lai Mohammed and all the wicked souls under this present satanic APC govt all opposed it even calling it genocide again the north. What is the story today? Karma has come calling. Serving it red red hot. Who loose? Who wins?

This quote by El-Rufai, rather than paint him as a hypocrite, does otherwise. His present posture is 100% in line with what he said in 2013.

Blame the lame and idiotic NASS for all these none sense!

In a sane country, by now the President would have been impeached for lack of capacity to govern.

Ethnicity , party and religious biases will kill this country.

Speaking in Hausa, El-Rufai said: “I have complained to Mr president and I swear to God, if action is not taken, we as governors will take actions to protect the lives of our people. “If it means deploying foreign mercenaries to come and do the work, we will do it to address these challenges.”

Is this not the same lDIOT that imported these same mercenaries that are terrorizing the citizens of Kaduna and others? Those who created a problem for their own selfish reasons can NEVER be part of the solution. My only hope is that the evil that he had created, supported and nurtured be visited upon him and his household.

Should we pretend that we are not aware of the ethnic, religious and regional factors plus personal selfish ambition to dubiously enrich oneself that is plaguing the politics of Nigeria? Why is the country in crisis if not for those reasons? What do you think is playing out in elrufai's government versus southern Kaduna? What do you think is playing out between Buhari and his cabal versus Ortom of Benue State? What do you think is playing out in Plateau State? Are those factors not manifest in the way the federal government of Nigeria is structured and run? Do you really believe the governor in this case indeed sees all the people groups is his state as his own people? How reasonable is it for you to play the ostrich in the face of all these, thinking the governor could not have done it? Why did MBA refused to allow him to address its conference sometime ago based on his acts in view of the ongoing insecurity in his state? If we pretend that we don't know, does the international community not see it all?

Should have done this a long time ago.. bring them in so those little bandits can be flushed from your country.. undecided
Mercenaries are a must for quelling rebellions/bandits... It's so hard to get brothers(Nigeria soldiers) and neighbors(bandits and terrorist) to kill one another...Put a language barrier between the soldiers and the people they are killing and it makes them much more apt to do their job without complaint...
Simple.. undecided
after wiping out our military elrufai is on the verge of bringing in mercenaries to come complete what his boys had started

I wish El Rufai was running for presidency, I would have pledged to work for his campaign for free. He’s the type of leader that Nigeria needs now and understands that you go hard and wipe out evil with brute force.
Under a ‘president’ El Rufai, the likes of boko haram, bandits, Ipigs/ESN and Odua nation terrorists would be bombed to oblivion.

I will say this once. Nigerians are extremists. Best you don't start what would implode in your faces. Once you bring in foreign mercenaries, it becomes a case of the highest bidder. If you want that kind of situation, then please go on.

Until Baba disappointed them with Adamu as the APC national chairman. Even since Buhari opponent in APC is disappointed no one is happy with Buhari and every blame is going to the FG no longer the ruling party. Hellrufire is angry bitterly

A whole league of military formations in Kaduna cannot fight a rag tag bandits but can burn down a Tiv village, burn down Bayelsa village and Igbo villages. Talking about some clandestine moves.

The above in bold is shocking and thought provoking.

According to this interview by Reuben Abati, the Jonathan administration discontinued the contract with the mercenaries, not PMB.

Unfortunately, NO governor has the power to bring in mercenaries, only the FG can.

Thanks to the mercenaries brought in by GEJ, though he acted almost too late,
elections held in Borno and north-east and thousands of terrorists were destroyed
or dislodged.

But Buhari came in and terminated the mercenaries contract because he believe
Nigeria army is too big to need mercenaries.

Even the most powerful militaries in the world, US, Russia and China uses mercenaries
for fighting insurgencies but general Buhari disagrees.

You may need to understand who is meant to serve as mercenaries in this case. It takes a thief to catch a thief.
El-Rufai was instrumental in ushering in the people who are currently terrorizing Nigeria. He told us that he unsuccessfully negotiated and even paid them to leave at the expiration of the purpose for which they were recruited..

So, I have no doubt that he also possesses the capacity to engage an opposing variation of the same people now that his political career appears to be endangered by his erstwhile accomplices.

The question is, when will the new entrants also become villains?.

This interview was an incoherent rant by a faceless spokesperson.
He couldn't even clearly state how the contract was supposedly terminated.

The mercenaries were very much around weeks into Buhari's administration.
They were expelled afterwards.
