*APPEA COURT JUDGEMENT OF APRIL 1ST, 2022.*

*EBONYI APC APPLAUD NIGERIA JUDICIAL SYSTEM FOR UPHOLDING THAT GOVERNOR UMAHI DID NOT CONTRAVENE ANY SECTION OF THE CONSTITUTION, OR ANY OTHER LAW OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA FOR DEFECTING TO ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) FROM PDP.*


By the judgment of the Federal Appeal Court, Enugu today, April 1st, 2022 which upheld the position of Ebonyi State High Court that Governor Umahi and his Deputy cannot vacate office for defecting to APC from PDP as a true position of the law, the confidence of the common man in the judiciary has been rekindled and hope restored.

With every sense of responsibility, the All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi State wishes to formally appreciate Nigeria Judiciary System and indeed, the great men and women of Nigeria who were worried on the judgment of Justice Ekwo Inyang of Abuja High Court and deemed it very necessary to stand out and lend their voices and resenting opinions to that shocking pronouncement seeking the vacation from office by the Governor of Ebonyi State and his Deputy, even after his brother Court of equal jurisdiction has declared that the Governor and his Deputy committed no offence under any law of the Federation by defecting from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It is very pertinent to note without mincing words that Nigerian's judicial system remains the last hope of a common man, we are grateful to God who did not allow the abuse of court process to stand. We thank immensely, the great Ebonyians and APC faithful for their show of maturity in handling this provocative pronouncement of the Abuja High Court and for their unprecedented support and solidarity during this period.

Let me specially thank the leader of APC in Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE Governor of Ebonyi State, for remaining focused and resolute in delivering the dividends of democracy to Ebonyi People and most especially, for believing maximally in the efficacy of the Nigeria judiciary which has been proved today by the Appellate Court in Enugu.

I want to call on all Ebonyi sons and daughters to continue supporting Governor Umahi’s administration and APC led Government in the State, haven seen that the political propaganda being peddled by the dubious Abuja based politicians is nothing but a deceitful plot by enemies of the state, who never mean good for her people, even after occupying bigger positions in the country. Ebonyi People cannot be deceived again. We shall defend our state with all our strength and might and will resist any attempt to distract our wonder working Governor.

Governor Umahi a true leader backed by God and not a ruler. He is on Divine mandate in Ebonyi State and no man can stop him until he finish his tenure and take over the number one position of this country. He is David and should not be touched by any hatchet man. Ebonyi is on a solid foundation and our God will disappoint the devices of the crafty, so that their hands will not perform their enterprise in our State.
