Few years ago, I met a friend of mine at the bank. He saw me in NYSC cap, he smiled and said to "O boy use this cap well ooo"....an ordinary cap whose value will diminish with time.....
Such is the irony of timely privileges..... No one can ever tell accurately when the tide will change, we can only predict.
But our political class believes they have it all figured out for their selfish interest. Few years ago, Ayo Fayose was bragging that Buhari will die before he hands over as Governor, four years down the line, PMB is still standing like Iroko tree.
The deceased Chief of Staff Abba Kyari was positioned to take over from Buhari, not up to a year into Buhari 2nd term, he was a goner. Isa Funtua, the Cabal himself.....gone, Abiola Ajimobi the constituted authority, the Bulldozer general of Ibadan....gone, he was even scammed while on sick bed,....Mamman Duara, the man who calls the shot in the country, bedridden with stroke.
These are few of those who believe they have held the country at the jugular, they have it all planned out and have already mapped out a plan towards sabotaging our growth as a nation.
It is no gainsaying if we ascert that the political class are the ones behind the myriads of atrocities bedeviling the country all for personal gains and political survival. There is no Messiah here, we are just choosing between two evil....we have no option than to compare and contrast which is worst between the APC and PDP administration.... Both have nothing good to engrave their name in the sand of time.....by the way APC=PDP and PDP=APC..... So what do we expect from the same people ruling us since 70s.
Blood of innocent citizens flowing on regular basis, kidnapping, banditry, terrorism, epileptic power supply, bad economic policies, high inflation, poverty, ASUU strike, etc all falls back to the table of politicians who are only after our retarded growth as a nation.
But it is entirely not their fault.....they have the assurance that the masses are so predictable and are easily tamed. The divide and rule system always work on us at every election... They simply sit back and wait for the right time to throw the bait at us.....we tend to forget and overlook our pains and agonies during the election period, we overlook sincere and genuine interest only to focus on religious, ethnic and party affiliations.......
The question is, how long do we intend to allow the wicked oligarchs sit on the future of our dear country, how long do we intend to continue empowering them to perpetrate their atrocities and materialise their evil intentions?
However, if this crop of generation is not ready to send them packing....I'm sure the status quo will be altered by incoming generations who will not accept anything less than standard governance.
Like sound sultan said "one day, bushmeat go catch Hunter"
