Normally, if you want to go boating, you get in your car, drive to a boat rental location, and board a boat. The more affluent ones use a truck or an SUV to tow their own boats to the port. But what if we told you that you can do both in the same vehicle?

This is a seventh-generation Ford Fiesta that has been converted into an amphibious car and is still road-legal in the UK, as featured by YouTuber AdamC304. It's a father-and-son lockdown project, according to the presenter.

What's great about this amphibious Ford is that it's instantly recognizable as a Fiesta. The top half is from a subcompact car, while the bottom half is from a Dutton Reef with a fiberglass body. The wheels are also Fiesta alloys from the factory.

A few modifications were made to this Fiesta in order for the conversion to work. For obvious reasons, the engine has been relocated behind the rear seats, and the exhaust has been raised.
The wheelbase has also been extended to accommodate the mid-engine configuration, and the roof has been removed for some open-air boating fun.

A transfer case allows power to be transmitted to the propeller while it is in the water, allowing it to function. The pedal still controls acceleration, while the rudders turn left or right in response to steering wheel input.

Without a doubt, it's a fun machine, but it's not without flaws. It is not a speed boat, with a maximum cruising speed of 7 knots on the water, or around 8 miles per hour (13 kilometers per hour). But, then again, how many Ford Fiestas can drive on both land and water?
